Description:
These assistance centers are located in remote urban and rural areas and attend to poor children in their first three years of life. They receive food, care and protection through activities which promote their intellectual, physical and social development. These houses exist in the three geographic zones where Expand Peru works. You can choose any one of them, for they all need your support and their precarious budget and lack of staff mean that they often depend on volunteers to help this very unique population. Activities that you can do as a volunteer: A very important part of being a volunteer on this project is the interaction between you and the children. They need a lot of attention, care, and above all love. In each house a mother tends to about 8 children younger than three years. She will need a lot of help in order to care, feed, clean, and play with the children.
