Description:
Volunteer in South Africa, make a difference to many childrens and adult's lives whilst enjoying a full african experience, making new friends and helping the less priveleged by teaching them new skills. Put a smile on many peoples faces: 'change someones life' Come and join our Volunteers in Cape Town, South Africa and make a difference... This consists of the following: * Teaching the less fortunate and underprivileged how to surf 2 to 3 times a week. (No specific qualifications are necessary, as volunteers will be trained in these specific areas.) * Surf instruction and various activities including caring for surfing equipment. * There will also be opportunities to get involved in various other community outreach projects that the Lodge operates. * You will also have the opportunity to get involved at our Dynamic Hostel and Gain Experience in the Tourist Industry 2-3 times a week, whilst having the chance to meet other travellers from all over the World and work with other Volunteers as a team (this is optional) Objectives of the Surf School: * To run a learn to surf school for Children that are less privileged and create a learn to Surf atmosphere for the children, and also to create a Surfers Corner feel on the beach * To run fitness on the beach, with warm ups and then teach surfing skills - standing up on the surf board and riding the waves * To teach the children new skills * To create free fun for the children * To give the children something to do after school * To encourage children to interact with Others and Enjoy Muizenberg Beach * To provide Community Work in Muizenberg

Qualifications:
No Qualifications are neccasary, you only need to know how to swim or surf, be friendly and have the enthusiasm to teach the less Priveleged children. The work is very rewarding, you will learn how to surf and learn how to teach others, whilst putting smiles on many childrens faces.

Typical Volunteer: Our Typical Volunteer loves the beach and being out-doors, loves teaching and interacting with children,and being part of a surf team and meeting others.
We often get Volunteers that want to learn to surf and want to become more sporty.. Come and join the team, its well worth it...and good fun, you'l learn how to surf, or improve your surfing skills.
