Volunteers with some knowledge of Spanish can assist younger children with their reading skills. Other volunteers may be asked to help small groups of children with computer skills, numbers and crafts.

Developing World Connections's Mission Statement: Our Mission:
To contribute to the betterment of our global community by providing service to people in developing nations.
Our Philosophy:
Developing World Connections strongly believes that great learning comes as a result of working with people from all nations. It is not our purpose to change the culture of our host country, but rather to embrace and better understand the differences that give equal value to each society. Our volunteers are guests who respect the host country's culture and honour the goodwill extended to them during their visit.
We believe the footprint we leave behind should be gentle, the friendships great, and the memories we bring home should positively and profoundly impact our lives.
