Description:
The Peri Lagoon is a registered municipal park located in the region southeast of the island of Santa Catarina, inserted into one of the last remnants of Atlantic Forest. Its purpose is to protect its natural resources, maintain the Azorean culture and also provide space for environmental education for local communities and students. Volunteer activities may include: * Preparing the soil to be used to plant seeds * Prepare and handle seed trays * Left and move seedlings to larger spaces or plastic containers used to transport them * Collect seeds of local and endemic tree/plant species * Transport saplings to be planted in designated areas inside and/or outside of the park.
