Dates: You can volunteer at any time from February to June and September to December.

Description: The Rehabilitation Centre is an Institution established by the Government of Ghana under the auspices of the Ministry of Manpower Youth and Employment through the Department of Social Welfare.

The prime objective of the Centre is to train all categories of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Employable Skills to enable them live independent and dignified lives in Society.

The Centre has been contributing positively towards National Development by harnessing the human resource potentials of a segment of Society that otherwise would have been marginalized.

Since its inception in 1962, it has trained over eight hundred (800) persons with disabilities while training is on going.

In recent times, the focus of the Rehabilitation Centre has been expanded to include Commercial Production and Marketing as a way of generating income to supplement government funding for the Centre and also to help market the products of trainees in order to increase their income levels.

Current Placements:

* Marketing and Business Development Officer
They are looking for someone to help with the marketing & sales of their products. It is vital for the existence of the centre to generate a revenue from their products.

* Sales & Fundraising Officer
They are looking for someone to help with the sales of their products and their other fundraising initiatives. This position will involve identifying points of sale and contacting potential donors.

* Fashion/Sewing Instructors
Fashion and Sewing Instructors are needed to teach students basic sewing and tailoring skills and help develop good quality products that can then be sold to generate revenue.

* Carpentry Instructors
Carpentry Instructors are needed to teach the disabled students basic carpentry and joinery skills and help develop & market good quality products.

* Shoe Making Instructors
Shoe Making Instructors are needed to teach the disabled students basic shoe making skills and help develop and market good quality products so a revenue can be generated.

* Village Craft Instructors
Dedicated and hard-working Village Craft Instructors are needed to teach the disabled students basic craft skills such as weaving and basket making.
