Description:
This project started in 1993, the project was an initiative of one of the success stories of the arabosokoke forest environmental conservation with community involvement. The project initially started with a 120 farmers and now it has over 700 farmers. The project involves the harvesting of the butterfly egg from the forest which is then natured to produce pupu stocks which are then packed for sale in foreign exbition houses and museums. The project has raised millions of shilings on behalf of farmers and now currently needs new markets for its butterflies.

At the kipepeo project you shall learn more about the different types of butterflies, their life cycle and the current success and problems faced by the project.
Qualifications:
The program is open to anyone who is interested in learning the life cycle of a butterfly and other environmental conservation procedures. English fluency is recommended.

* 100 Dollars for registration fees * 680 Dollars for the above stated costs * An extra of 100 dollars per every one week of extending, after the program has ended * The amount above is for a four week period, also we have different rates depending on the period one stays.
