Shepherd's Keep's Mission Statement: Shepherd's Keep is a home for abandoned and orphaned babies from birth to 6 months old, whether HIV positive or not and our high standards and ethics together with the unconditional love given to each baby have made us leaders in our field. Shepherd's Keep, nestling on the Bluff in KwaZulu-Natal, offers a wonderful opportunity to those with caregiving or medical skills to volunteer in our babies' home. We are situated in peaceful surroundings, close to beautiful beaches and amenities and offer a safe environment to volunteers wanting to invest in the life of an abandoned or orphaned baby. Run on Christian principles, we offer accommodation and transport facilities for a small fee to cover our overheads. An exciting and fulfilling opportunity for anyone who wants to witness firsthand the transition from the day our babies arrive, barely living and close to starvation, to the day they leave with their adoptive families - completely restored and beginning a brand new life with their forever families.

    Year Founded: 1998

Shepherd's Keep is a Christian based organization. We do require our participants to be of the same faith. Our volunteers will not be involved in religious proselytizing.
