Description:
Volunteers help in developing creative programs such as art, music, dance, sports, assist in bathing the children, dressing and helping with their home works or putting them to sleep. Additional help on day trips, sanitation, cooking, and administration may be needed. One of the most wonderful opportunities that work in an orphanage can give you is the chance to share your love. Please note that your itineraries may differ from this, depending on your own experience and the number of other volunteers on the placement at the same time, and this is simply to give an example: * 07:30 Get up, eat breakfast, and start getting ready for your project * 8:15 Head off on a walk to the orphanage * 08:30 Start your work. You may read simple books with the children or teach them English, or play games and sing songs with them. * 12:00 Lunch break. You will walk back to your volunteer house, where lunch is waiting for you. * 13.30 Start of your afternoon projects. You may assist kids with their class assignments and play games with them. * 16.30 End of the working day. * 18.30 Dinner at your volunteer house. After dinner, you may wish to go for a few drinks in one of the local bars to interact with new found friends and learn more of the people too.
Highlights:
* Helping the children in conversational English and assignments. * Supervise the children to clean up and dress up * Supervise their studies and assignments * Share their food; sit by them to see them eat * Prepare them for schools, check their dresses * Design, teach, organize and play games (educational and environmental).
