Description: This home was originally founded by a man named Cosmas Maina in 1994 and Leila Soila later joined him later. The original location was in a rented house in malindi situated near Casaurina road, then later in january 1997 the home moved to its present situation 300meters off the Malindi/Mombasa highway in msabaha between Watamu and Malindi town. A generous German Hotelier donated the 12 acre land Mrs Elizabeth Von Menyhart. It's a charitable organisation housing orphans and children of destitute families.

The land has been utilized to build 5-room dormitories which houses young boys 5-11yrs, 1-room dormitories which host older boys 11-18yrs and 6-rooms dormitories hosting 5-18 yrs old girls, attached are toilets and bathrooms adjacent to the rooms. Adjacent to the dining area we have a modern kitchen underwich all the meals are prepared. The adminstration block is situated at the main entrance to the children home and adjacent to it we have the first aid room used to treat minor injuries and also they have a guest house self contained.

The home currently hosts 70 kids of which they all school at the primary school which is run by the government but is for the children home.

Part of the land is set aside for farming, where the home food is freshly goten from.

Any volunteer who can speak, read and teach english are all welcomed and any life skills that can be taught to the kids are highly welcomed.

Qualifications: Any General volunteer who has a love for children. Professional volunteers who have skills in financial planning, child care are also invited. Also volunteers who have a heart to sponsor some of the kids are highly welcomed and appreciated.
