Description: Challenging Heights is an NGO that seeks to unearth and develop the talents and potentials of rural Ghanaian children and youth. Their vision is to become the leading children's and youth organization in Ghana, with a mission to mobilize children and youth for better education and health, and to foster their self-confidence.

The organisation has rescued children from exploitation through child labour, has paid the school fees for them and provided books and the school uniforms so that they could obtain an appropriate education.

The women's officer volunteer will be working to develop female empowerment programmes and workshops with the staff of Challenging Heights. Workshops will mainly be run in Winneba, although some may occur in other areas, such as Accra. The individual should have a passion for female empowerment issues and preferably have some experience of running female empowerment projects.
