Description:
Spend 2 weeks exploring Peru, learning abroad global public health, and contributing to local community development. Students have a chance to help provide much needed health care to Andean communities and explore world renowned sites. Students get the opportunity to live and work in the Sacred Valley of the Incas to better understand the health and social issues that indigenous communities face. The program will help students understand a different health care system first-hand because students will work with local health care professionals on projects including health education, research and outreach. Students without health experience will work on education, environmental and construction projects. * Housing: Students will live together in group housing and most meals are provided.
