Description:
The AndyGlo Foundation is currently recruiting a total of 8 volunteer teachers to work in one of four schools in Akim Oda and Asamankese. Both communities are located in Ghana, West Africa in the Eastern Region. Successful applicants will have their choice between Afranse Primary School or Freeman Methodist School (Asamankese) or Joduro International School or St. Anglican Primary School (Akim Oda). Volunteer teachers can expect to teach using the Ghana Education Service (GES) approved curriculum. Subjects generally taught include Mathematics, English, Physics, Biology, Physical Educaiton, Social Studies and Music. The creation of lesson plans in other areas (example fine arts, drama, creative writing) are highly encouraged and volunteers should be prepared to improvise when necessary.

Qualifications:
The following skills are desired: - Some university education is required - Exceptional English communication skills - Patience and flexibility - Experience teaching youth is required - Ability to work as part of a diverse team - Creativity is a valuable asset - Comfortable with improvisation
