Description:
Purpose: To translate various documents and manuals from English to Spanish or from Spanish to English Location: Anywhere Time Commitment: None Level of Spanish needed: Advanced Level of English needed: Advanced Responsibilities: This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in practicing and maintaining their advanced level of Spanish! It is necessary to have documents in both English and Spanish so that they can be more useful to Puentes staff and partner organizations. This volunteer will translate documents (three to 15 pages, depending on their time commitment) from English to Spanish or from Spanish to English. The Puente director will communicate with this volunteer by email and send him/her a document to translate. After the volunteer has translated the document and sent it back, the Puente director will edit and proofread the document. The volunteer will also be able to view the corrections upon request.
Qualifications:
- Excellent Spanish and English writing skills - Access to email and MS Word - Ability to work independently
