The valley is surrounded by mountains that are part of Cotopaxi National Park, the Ilinizas-Heart, the Pasochoa reserve and the Antisana. This project provides volunteers with a the opportunity to be part of the country life in the Andean zone. In addition, you will be surrounded by nature and you will be able to enjoy the peace and tranquility that the Andes Mountains offer. And of course, you will also have the opportunity to improve your Spanish.

Project Description:
This project focuses mainly on the education of the English language. The volunteer´s most important jobs are to make sure that the performance of the children in the school improves more every day and to create interesting and educational English lessons that motivate the children to learn the language. The project works with three elementary schools located in Aloag within 2 to 12 km of the lodging. The schools usually have about 70 students (between 5 and 11 years of age). The volunteers will work 8 hours daily, or they can ask to work part-time from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Project Activities:
* The volunteers will teach English and give computer lessons to the kids.
* The volunteers must prepare their own classes and materials with the guidance of the educational program manager.
* The volunteers are expected to work 8 hours daily, but they can ask to work only from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
* After class time, volunteers will work on different projects such as the maintenance of the schools (i.e. painting walls and fixing doors).
* Volunteers will also work on Community projects such as: reforestation and creating consciousness about the protection of natural resources.

Highlights: All the volunteers will have free time on weekends; in this time they will be able to plan their lessons, learn to ride horses and explore the surrounding area.

Voluntary work opportunities based around Quito and main programs offer experiences of cultural exchanges, work and help with local people. We arrange voluntary placements in the environmental or community area. The environmental involves working in nature on a wide variety of projects, the community works are about helping street children, elderly people and educating people. We dedicate ourselves to alternative solutions to these problems, to make a difference and create a better world in Ecuador.
