Volunteer in Tanzania with Tastic Tanzania!
Tanzania
Duration of Program: 9-12 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 9-12 weeks
Dates: 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the Month
Description:
Volunteering with Tastic Tanzania is flexible and can be arranged to suit your specific needs. The placements are arranged on an individual basis depending on your desire and specific skills. For a first time volunteer, it is common to teach English within a local school. To teach English, you need patience and the ability to plan and organise lessons. You will sometimes work with a local teacher, who may struggle with the language themselves so you may need to take control of the situation using your initiative. Students in Tanzania love international volunteers and respond to there lessons and skills in an extremely positive manner. If you have creativity, an open mind and a passion for assisting people, then volunteering with us will be an extremely rewarding experience for you. Our other placements include orphanages, community groups, working with women's groups, HIV education and various other projects as required. Your knowledge, and any skills that you can bring to the area will be appreciated and make a difference in an area that lacks educational resources.
