Educational Programme

English College of Tangier is divided into two sections: National and British International. Both sections of the School offer education from Pre-School (age 3) through Secondary School (age 17/18). In the Early Years (equivalent to KG) all children follow the same curriculum that is modeled off of the Moroccan and British systems.

The British International School follows the British National Curriculum and includes some adaptations to the local environment, specifically in Arabic, Islamic Studies and French. The curriculum is well-balanced, meets the needs of a wide range of children, and is exceptionally popular with parents. In the Senior School, children take IGCSE , AS and A-level exams. The examination results in recent years have been outstanding, enabling students to enter good universities in Morocco and abroad.

The National School follows the prescribed Moroccan National Curriculum, which is strictly managed by the Ministry of Education. The system relies heavily on rote learning, and although there is some continuous assessment, the emphasis is on set tests, mid-year and end-of-year exams. The English College of Tangier presents the courses in lively and creative ways in order to develop the student's cognitive skills for learning and acquiring knowledge.
