Description: The program in CAS-Nepal has been designed according to different interest. Designed programs are equally important for their respective field in Nepal. Volunteers have the option to choose one of the given programs. The placement will be tailored according to your own needs and interests.

Teaching English: After completing the training phase, volunteers will go to one of the placement village areas. Volunteers live with host family and go to school with one family member. Volunteers will teach at local school for 2 to 4 hours each day, 6 days in a week. Saturday is day off. The system of teaching is different in Nepal. Volunteers don't need to use the same method. They will be encouraged to use their own teaching methodologies.

Volunteers will also be involved in teaching youth clubs or women group for informal education 1 to 2 hours a day. School children will be 6 to 16 years of age and have a basic level of English. Class size ranges from 20 to 60 students. Volunteers are also expected to share their own teaching methodologies as well as help the school teacher to increase their own conversational English skills.
