Description: Prepara las clases de inglés del Instituto de Enseñanza Secundaria de la Asociación Ak´Tenamit orientandolas al Turismo Sustentable y al Bienestar Rural.

Impartir las clases de inglés en el Instituto de Enseñanza Secundaria.

Evaluar a los alumnos y las alumnas.

Realizar los informes que requiera el Departamento de Educación y la Asociación AkTenamit

Asistir a las reuniones de coordinación del Departamento de Educación de la Asociación AkTenamit

Highlights: Live on the Río Dulce in the humid tropical rainforest of eastern guatemala and work with a group of Q´eqchi mayans who have organized thsi project in order to improve their community and their childrens´future.
Work with local health promoters in a rural primary health clinic to help members of the local Q´eqchi community
food and housing are covered by AAT.

Qualifications: Knowledge of teaching
Experience in working with teenagers and youth people
Knowledge of English
Knowledge of Spanish

Typical Volunteer: Most volunteers who come to Ak´Tenamit are independant and flexible. We look for someone who is ready to work the same full-time schedule as the employees, who is open to trying new things, and who shares the organization´s vision and mission.
