Description: CAS-Nepal is a non-profit, non-political, non-government organization working in the field of community development. It has been offering many opportunities to every people to uplift the life of rural minorities in Nepal.

Community Advancement Society-Nepal gives you the chance to make an important contribution to the people of Nepal. It is also a great experience to understand our culture and people. One could have lots of knowledge and experience about the assigned work, Nepali culture, its people and the people's economic status.

CAS-Nepal offers volunteering opportunities. Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational and community aid programs. CAS- Nepal provides a suitable environment and assistance for those who want to render their services to Nepal. We also provide opportunity to conduct research on volunteers' desired areas. We have many rural locations in Nepal where we can place volunteers from 2 weeks to 5 months. Volunteering in CAS-Nepal is available to an individual or to a group.

We warmly welcome you to join with our customized volunteer opportunities to render your expertise and services in the following program:

* Raise awareness on sanitation and environmental issues. The awareness program mainly aims to raise awareness on environment conservation. The program deals with teaching environmental science in school, youth clubs and women group. You will also be involved in other public awareness programs.

Environmental Awareness Program includes the following activities :
- Waste management
- Building smokeless Stove & pit latrines
- Creating green clubs
- Making flower garden
- Paper plastic recycling

Volunteers will work with village schools and communities to provide primary health and sanitation awareness and also teach health science at local school. This program can be held at school, health post, Community health care center (a background of medical training is desirable.

Our fee structure is designed to make it affordable so that everyone can join with us for optimized volunteering opportunities.

If you wish to spend more time in Kathmandu pre and post placement period, trekking and sight seeing are just two of the best things to do. Please remember to budget accordingly. This cost will not be covered by CAS-Nepal. Additionally, volunteers are responsible for any extra expenses (extra food, laundry, and sodas) during training and placement.

The program fees should be paid either in local currency or US Dollar upon arrival in Kathmandu.

Cancellation of fees
- Full refund- Before starting training Program.
- 50% refund - After training before placement.

Volunteers for Environment, Health, & Sanitation Awareness

Qualifications: There is no formal qualification needed. But dedication, willingness to work is required. Volunteers who has higher qualification and experience could be good match for our programs.

Cost Include Description:

- Transportation to and from Kathmandu airport.
- Transportation to and from Placements.
- Accommodation and meal during training period and placement.
- Nepali language and cultural information class.
- Administrative cost.
- Contribution to CAS-Nepal projects e.g. Child learning center and youth mobilization activities in village.

This excludes your flight ticket in Nepal and visa fees.
