Description:
Working in Marketing, PR & Event-Management at Nomadas Outdoor Services you will be involved in the following: - International business strategy - International branding strategy and development - Concept, planning and realization of cross-media communication strategy and activities - Independent guidance of projects, especially in event organization This may translate into the following more specific tasks: - Drafting international business planes for new projects - Drafting international marketing and media plans - Elaboration of advertising materials and merchandising articles - Acquisition and negotiation of international TV coverage - Acquisition of international journalists attending the event - Managing international press/team inquiries - Drafting press releases, press-kits & articles, as well as coordinating international distribution - Handling sponsors, press and participating teams on location during the race

Nomadas Outdoor Services was founded in 2002 in the course of the organization of the first Patagonia Expedition Race®, the most southern adventure race on earth. Based on the acquisition of unique know-how off-the-beaten-track and the established network, Nomadas today offers a variety of products and services related to its exceptional location in Patagonia: 1.) Patagonia Expedition Events: Multi-sports events including six editions of the most southern and wildest adventure race on earth: PATAGONIA EXPEDITION RACE® 2.) Patagonia Expedition Consulting: Elaboration of academic studies on socio-ecologic topics, for example, the analysis and resource planning for the park Karukinka in Tierra del Fuego for the Wildlife Conservation Society; and studies about the beaver-menace in Patagonia for the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture 3.) Patagonia Expedition Travel: Exclusive on demand tours for VIP tourists (E.g.: Henry Paulson - current financial minister of the US) 4.) Patagonia Expedition Logistical Support: Support of touristy and scientific expeditions, including planning, consulting and escorting, equipment rental and geographical solutions (for clients such as National Geographic Television) 5.) Patagonia Expedition Shop: Sales and rental of technical equipment and content design of maps and merchandising 6.) Patagonia Expedition School: Courses in kayaking, mountaineering, ice climbing, skiing, fishing, photography, outdoor survival, orientation and "Leave No Trace" for beginners and professionals At present, most of Nomadas' energy is focused on the Nómadas Outdoor Events and Nómadas Outdoor Consulting. The remaining products and services are complementary and in their early stages. Nomadas Outdoor Services is located in Punta Arenas and consists of a core team of seven employees; although during the peak months of the high season, our staff rises to up to fifty organizational members. Qualifications:
