Description: Moldova, nestled between Romania and Ukraine on the edge of Eastern Europe, may not be the most obvious place to go for business work experience. However, with an economic growth rate of 7% (over three times that of the UK), and a view to joining the E.U. in coming years, taking part in a business internship in Moldova with Projects Abroad will give you a unique chance to work in a dynamic and fast-growing economy.

There are opportunities in Moldova for volunteers who wish to study or gain work experience within the business, accountancy, legal, marketing or management sectors. For volunteers who are on a gap-year, looking for employment in a particular sector following graduation, or on a career-break, our voluntary business internships in Moldova will give you fantastic work experience that will increase your prospects and enhance your CV. You'll be given the opportunity to have genuine input, suggest new directions and protocols, whilst also gaining a vital insight into how an Eastern European company operates.

We work with a variety of large and small businesses in the football, I.T., legal and accountancy, and international press sectors. Depending on which business you are placed in, you could be working with management staff, marketing and press departments, or in the finance and accountancy department. Students who are part way through a business, accountancy or management degree, or graduates of these subjects are all welcomed, and will be given real opportunities to put their fresh ideas into practice.

Highlights: As a volunteer in Chisinau on one of our Business Internship Placements, you will provide effective and constructive help while you work on a variety of projects.

You will be involved with the day-to-day activities of the office whether it is contacting new clients, working with senior management, carrying out research on existing business methods, attending meetings or proofreading. The variety of work you do will depend upon you and how confident you feel about the work at hand. You could find yourself working on a new business plan to increase the profits of an international press distributor, or working with a business development team researching and putting into practice a new marketing initiative for a legal or I.T. company. The opportunities are endless, and if there is a specific area you are interested, please just let us know and we'll do our best to arrange it for you.

Wherever you are placed, you will be assigned an English-speaking supervisor who will be able to advise and support you during your placement. Of course our Projects Abroad Moldova staff are always on hand too, to assist you with any problems or answer any questions you may have.

Volunteers live with host families in Chisinau. All accommodation is organized, paid for, and monitored by Projects Abroad. All project placements are regularly visited and checked. We require high standards of supervision and accommodation, which are verified before you arrive in Moldova.

This project offers the opportunity to become fully immersed in the culture in a manner which even the most hardened of backpackers could never hope to do.
