Description:
Great experience combining living in one of the most beautiful parts of Thailand with a real difference to the lives of mahout and elephant, if you are looking for a different type of holiday. We support the wildlife volunteer program all around Thailand, which provides an income and a home to unemployed conservation and local Thai peple. You can come to the project on our 1-4 week program Optional : Extensions at volunteer projects from 1 or 4 weeks The Dusky Langur project Study the behaviour of the Dusky Langur in its natural environment. Learn about the lives and habits of the Langurs to gain a better understanding of what actions need to be taken in order to ensure their survival. The Elephant volunteer Mahout project The project provides you with a great opportunity to get a basic understanding of the Thai mahout and Thai elephant and their relationship with their elephant camp. The volunteer will be paired up with an elephant and its mahout for your entire stay. English Teaching local school This Project is developed for dual purposes. It gives volunteer the opportunity to experience the Thai culture in an authentic and inexpensive way. The volunteer can learn about the traditional life of the Karen people, volunteer can experience English teaching Care for Dogs Project : Reducing the overpopulation of street- and temple dogs , Running of a shelter for approx. 60 - 70 puppies and dogs , Improving the health status of homeless dogs (through vaccinations, organizing medical care in cooperation with vets, feeding programs), Helping people help their dogs through, Cooperation with monks and employees of temples to improve the situation of the temple dogs

Qualifications:
This is an opportunity for a gap year experience discovery program with lots of fun activities and adventures! From Bangkok-Authaya-Khao Yai National Park- Cheng rai- Golden Triangle- Chiang Mai Doi-Suthep Temple-Prachuap Kirikhan Province-Kui Buri National Park-Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park-Home-stay at Thai Traditional houses. It has it all - culture, nature, observing precious wildlife, jungle trekking, waterfalls, rafting, temples etc. You will have an enriching and meaningful experience in fun and exciting ways!

Typical Volunteer: If you want to join this challenging and rewarding programme the following requirements apply: Minimum age = 18 years; Minimum stay = 1 week.
An average level of fitness you will be required to do some hiking in a hot and humid climate.
Be prepared to adapt schedules change at short notice according to the Dusky Langur activity.
In addition to working with the project you will be expected to help out with other general activities like cooking, cleaning.
You need to show respect to the Thai culture, be open minded & be prepared to take part in daily village life.
