Description: GVI offers a unique opportunity to earn a BTEC certification while you study and work hands on in the rainforests of Ecuador. Join a 5 or 10 week expedition and learn the techniques behind supervising biological surveys. The BTEC is a level 3 Advanced Certificate (equivalent to a UK A-level) that should leave you confident to plan and manage safe and efficient survey teams in the field.

BTEC Course in Ecuador in Biological Survey Techniques

Highlights:
* Intensive in-camp training
* Gain basic knowledge of the environment
* Experience the tropical rainforest
* Spend nights camping out in the rainforest
* Set photo-trapping equipment
* Enjoy wildlife observation from the river
* Assist on nocturnal frog and mammal surveys
* Discover rare and possibly new species
* Learn bush skills and rainforest ecology
* Explore different parts of the Amazon
* Work with and train local students
* Participate in jungle survival
* Learn how to navigate in the forest

Qualifications: No special training or qualifications are required as you will receive training in the field.
