Description: Show SOLIDARITY with a cultural and educational centre, Brazil.

The center offers the community a wide range of educational and recreational activities as communication, courses and personal development, streamlined through various services. It is a challenging and inspiring environment, located inside a poor community; it researches and documents their own history; information that has triggered the opening of a museum to rescue the roots and history of the community. The center also publishes a newspaper. Work with a group of thinkers, and innovators from a low-income community.

As a Volunteer you can do:

Qualifications: For people from all over the world, volunteering is giving of you as an expression of support for a worthy cause, and that is the very principle that strikes at the heart of SOLRISA: that by working together, we can make the world a better place!

For this reason no specific educational skills are needed for our programs. We believe that it is much more important to be motivated and open-minded, respectful and pro-active. Although speaking Portuguese is not required, we recommend you to follow a language course. Basic knowledge of the language brings you a long way.

Cost Include Description:
Program SOL, Includes:

- Program fee
- Four weeks accomodation in our own residence, based on shared bedrooms;
- Three or four weeks program vacancy and placement;
- Pre-departure information, regarding the program;
- Airport pick-up;
- Donation to the partner organization;
- Assistance enrolling a good language course;
- Advise on the best (day)tours;
- Assistance in case of emergencies.

Total price: Euro 645,00 / USD 988.00 / 4 weeks
Additional period only per full week and upon availability: Euro 85,00
