This project welcomes students, travellers and professionals from around the world who have an interest in hands-on conservation and travel with a meaning purpose and make a real difference. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn about conservation in a wide variety of habitats. Urgent action is required and volunteers are needed to participate in one or more current programs working with organizations and communities committed to pursuing sustainable development projects. The primary purpose of this project is local reforestation and volunteers are needed year-round to plant trees and work in tree nursery. There are also opportunities to get involved in organic gardening, environmental education, waste reduction and recycling initiatives and investigate sustainable economic alternatives (alternative crops, eco-tourism, etc). Volunteers play an integral role by becoming involved in the local conservation efforts and developing and innovative ways to develop and protect the community in an eco-friendly manner.
