Surrounding areas are that of: medieval villages, volcanoes, forests, gorges and castles. This particular castle is magnificently beautiful and has an outstanding history, including visitors such as Napoleon and Jeanne d`arc.

The Chateau is closed to the public at the moment due to urgently needed restoration work. This is partly being funded by the government- yet much more help is being sought.
