Help with Housing Projects and Teach Development Courses

Durations of Program: 2-4 weeks, 5-8 weeks, 9-12 weeks, 3-6 months, 7-12 months and 1-2 years
Typical Duration of Program: 5-8 weeks
Dates: the whole year

Description: We would like to help the families of the marginal quarter of La Prusia, Granada, Nicaragua, get out of the extreme poverty in which they live. Our goal is that they can live as human beings in a simple, modern house, with potable water, and that they have access to sustainable development: with a good education and a job that allows them to live by their own means. We want our School-workshop to help them to obtain that goal. As a volunteer you are welcome to help the families of La Prusia both in the Housing and in the Development programs.

Help with Housing Projects and Teach Development Courses

Highlights:
* Help to erradicate slums and build houses for the families of La Prusia.
* Help provide the necessities of culture and health, and of professional development of the young people, children and adults in order for them to improve their living conditions and find jobs that pay livable wages.

Qualifications: The first and more important qualification is to wish to help the families of a very poor quarter to go out from poverty.You may use for this:

- any skill or technical knowledge you may have for helping to build houses.

- or knowledge of any kind for teaching children, young people and adults to improve their culture and to be better prepared for finding a job.

We appreciate the initiative of the volunteers for finding ways of helping these families.

    Cost Include Description:
    The volunteers have to to pay for their trip, lodging (unless they stay in our Volunteer House) and food (not the lunch from Monday to Friday). And for any other extra expenses.

    Salary / Pay: sorry, we cannot offer any such benefits.
