Description:
We are looking for volunteers with a degree or experience in nutrition to work with our children. You will work in conjunction with our Brazilian cooks. As a nutritionist at Casa do Caminho, you will have the following key responsibilities: * Evaluate and improve the existing nutrition system
* Create a nutrition guide for the three houses
* Produce monthly nutrition plan
* Give advice and training to the cooks and give suggestions for improvements.
* Work closely with the children and teenagers to teach them about healthy eating

Qualifications:
* Intermediate Portuguese skills
* Willing to work within 6 months - 2 years volunteer/trainee period
* Degree or experience in Nutrition
* Experience in working with children and teenagers
* Minimum age: 21 years

Comunidade Rural Casa do Caminho's Mission Statement: Casa do Caminho is an orphanage situated in the middle of the Tingua rainforest, outside of Rio de Janeiro. Casa do Caminho aims to take the children away from aggression, drugs & criminality in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding suburbs. In the orphanage Casa do Caminho provides children with shelter, health care, education and a lot of freedom to play!
