Description: An officially registered Community-Based Organization, AHCM is dedicated to bringing hope through love and care to orphaned or impoverished street children in Uganda. We are committed to child development, advocacy, and a strength-based holistic approach in responding to the problems that face vulnerable children. Our children are provided with accommodation, food, clothing, healthcare, and educational opportunities (both vocational and formal school training), and also receive instruction in morals, manners, and how to live in our society. The love and care we provide changes the children's stories from one of hopelessness to hopefulness and gives them the tools they need to not only envision a different future, but to live it. Please join our family and help us achieve Another Hope.

Another Hope Children's Ministry is located in a quiet part of the capital city of Uganda, Kampala, in the Nansana East District. Although we are a "Christian" home, we provide support to children from all backgrounds and religions. Currently the 30+ children we support, some who stay in other foster homes and some who live permanently on site, are all HIV/AIDS orphans. Our aim is to expand support for additional orphans throughout the community. We may not be able to help all, but we certainly can make a difference in these children's lives and invite you to help us.

We need volunteers to assist in many areas: basic childcare, teaching at school, tutoring and running after-school programs, building a permanent home we don't have to rent, and training the older children in income generation. Volunteers pay USD $350 for their first month, then add $150 the second, $100 the third, and $80 for subsequent months.

KIDS Worldwide's Mission Statement: Kids Worldwide seeks to improve the quality of life for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. We provide nurturing care and educational programmes based upon the universal concepts of Neo-Humanism, which are tailored to the needs of the children in our projects. We run orphanages as well as provide services to already established orphanages and childrens' projects (such as struggling primary schools and kindergartens) through our volunteer outreach programs. Our volunteer programs are notable in that we only request a small donation for food and accommodation that is paid directly to the project itself when the volunteer arrives.
