Residence for the Elderly in Cordoba

  Argentina
  • Cordoba:
  • Cordoba

Durations of Program: 2-4 weeks, 5-8 weeks and 9-12 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 5-8 weeks
Dates: Flexible, year round

Description: Get to know the real Argentina through becoming a part of the community. Caring volunteers are needed to help at this residence for the elderly with tasks such as visiting with the patients, organizing activities, helping to administer care, various administrative duties, and always providing a warm smile and ears to listen.

The residence is located in a quiet city neighborhood in Cordoba. It is situated in a large house with a big garden out back in order to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. With over twenty residents, the home is a great place for building lasting friendships between all residents as well as with the volunteers. The main goal of the home is to provide the elderly with a place where they are able to receive the care they need and to enjoy their daily lives.

You will work side by side with the Argentinean staff of the residence and stay with a carefully screened host family, giving you insight into daily life in Argentina. Two meals a day with your host family are included in your stay (meals are not served on Sundays).

Our staff in the U.S. are experienced volunteers themselves who are happy to share their experiences and expertise with prospective volunteers. Our partner staff in Argentina are friendly, caring and dedicated to ensuring that all volunteers have a rewarding experience. All volunteers will be taken to their host family upon arrival and given an orientation within the first few days.
