Durations of Program: 1-2 weeks, 2-4 weeks, 5-8 weeks, 9-12 weeks, 3-6 months, 7-12 months, 1-2 years and over 2 years
Typical Duration of Program: 5-8 weeks

Description: These centers are oriented toward assisting children during their first three yeas of life. All are located in the rural zone of the Mantaro Valley and are in need of your help. Their small budget and shortage of personnel makes it necessary to employ volunteers in different areas, from recreational activities up to health care. This experience will allow you to get to know and help out the people of the rural zone of the Andes.

You will work not only with children but also with their parents and other persons in the child's surrounding.

Highlights: Esperanza Peru offers volunteers a unique blend of work, cultural immersion, and fun. All ages and skill levels are invited to apply. Everyone has something to offer!

Qualifications: To be one of our volunteers you need to be 18 years old and have high school education as minumum. The principal requirement is the desire of helping others.

Who can volunteer?

( University diploma or specialized studies not obligatory )
* Various professional / Everyone willing to dedicate his/her time to the project.
* Specialized Personnel: We always could use the services of Psychologist / Educator initial level / Medical professional / Social workers / Anthropologists.

We welcome people from all countries to share in the Perivuan way of life and to learn our customs and way of life. What we require from our volunteers is enthusiasm, open mindness and a willingness to help and learn. If you; are Mature, compassionate, self motivated, team worker, impartial.

    Esperanza Peru's Mission Statement: We are a non-profit organization concerned with improving the quality of life of the residents of the Central Andes in Peru living in extreme poverty. We work in a direct and very special manner with children in the rural areas, as with orphans and abandoned children through the programs and projects focused on the promotion of comprehensive social, cultural, economic and educational growth of this vulnerable population.
