Description:
We are looking for volunteers with a degree or experience in social work to work with our children. You will work together with our Brazilian social worker. As a social worker at Casa do Caminho, you will have the following key responsibilities: * Work closely with the children and teenagers to help them cope with their past and to improve their social behavior
* Do family visits in the area of Duque de Caxias together with our social worker
* Help social workers do administrative paper work.

Qualifications:
* Advanced Portuguese skills
* Willing to work within 6 months - 2 years volunteer/trainee period
* Degree and experience in psychology or social work
* Experience in working with children and teenagers
* Minimum age: 21 years

We charge no fees and offer volunteers: food, accommodation and airport escort.

Casa do Caminho aims to take the children away from aggression, drugs & criminality in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding suburbs. In the orphanage Casa do Caminho provides children with shelter, health care, education and a lot of freedom to play!
