Description:
In November 2008, our new Sports & Community Center was established. We continuously need volunteers that can organize theater, music, and dance classes for our children and for the local community. Our aim is to let the community manage their center. People need to be trained and orientated and teach others. For more information please contact us.

* Basic Portuguese skills
* Willing to work within 6 months - 2 years volunteer period

Typical Volunteer: Hard working, flexible, enthusiastic, loves to hang out with children and helps out where necessary. Patience is an important factor for working in Brazil.

Comunidade Rural Casa do Caminho's Mission Statement: Casa do Caminho is an orphanage situated in the middle of the Tingua rainforest, outside of Rio de Janeiro. Casa do Caminho aims to take the children away from aggression, drugs & criminality in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding suburbs. In the orphanage Casa do Caminho provides children with shelter, health care, education and a lot of freedom to play!
