Last May 2008, our new Sports & Community Center was established. We continuously need volunteers that can organize sports, cultural and social events for our children and the local community. The center also needs to be managed. Our aim is to let the community manage their center. People need to be trained and orientated on how to manage the center.

* Working in a community of Brazilians and international volunteers
* The location is in the beautiful Tingua reserve
* Trying to make a difference for the children and teens of our orphanage!
* Getting to know the Brazilian culture
Qualifications:
* Intermediate Portuguese skills
* 6 months - 2 years volunteer period
* Qualified in teaching sports, managing sports or experience in training specific sports.
* Experience in working with children and teenagers

Comunidade Rural Casa do Caminho's Mission Statement: Casa do Caminho is an orphanage situated in the middle of the Tingua rainforest, outside of Rio de Janeiro. Casa do Caminho aims to take the children away from aggression, drugs & criminality in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding suburbs. In the orphanage Casa do Caminho provides children with shelter, health care, education and a lot of freedom to play!
