United Planet's Quests offers volunteers a unique blend of work, cultural emersion, and fun. All ages and skill levels are invited to apply. Everyone has something to offer! Costa Rica Sea Turtle Conservation: The project is run by United Planet's partner organization in cooperation with the National Wildlife Refuge of Playa Hermosa and Puta Mala. The refuge's goal is to protect the sea turtles, a variety of birds and crocodiles that habit the area. Every year during the turtle's nesting season, the project seeks to protect an average of more than 100 000 turtle eggs and 60 000 baby turtles. Normally the season is open from June to October, but sometimes it lasts until January. Volunteer work includes: Making signs for the beaches; supporting the patrols; protection of nests; collecting of data; monitoring the hatcheries; cleaning the nests; and getting the hatcheries ready for next season.

People, including the local population and fellow Quest participants, might have different religious, ideological, racial, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds.
