Description: The primary goal of this volunteer project in Spain is to provide companionship to children living with and often suffering through cancer and all medical procedures/routines associated with treating this life-stealing disease. Often, simply providing a cheerful distraction for these children and helping them to maintain a positive outlook, thus taking their mind off of the idea of their illness goes a lot further than you may imagine. Your companionship and compassion will prove to be a strong tool in bringing a smile to these children's faces.

Highlights: The organization which volunteers will be assisting strive to offer a diverse network of support for ALL affected by this illness  especially the family of the children with cancer. The organization focuses on two primary levels of support: 1) psychological and emotional support for both the children and their respective families and 2) economic support for the child and family gained through social work-based efforts. Interested individuals should be able to face highly emotional situations while maintaining a cheerful attitude and able to provide help when needed.
