Durations of Program: 1-2 weeks, 2-4 weeks, 5-8 weeks and 9-12 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Dates: All Year Round

Description: Global Crossroad's volunteer projects in teaching English offer volunteers ample opportunity to explore the day-to-day life in Costa Rica while helping young students improve their English skills. Work includes teaching English (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, writing, listening, etc.) to primary, middle, and high school students 2-4 hours per day.

Highlights: Most volunteers work in the English Learning Rooms at small community centers, orphanages, or shelters for street children. At these projects volunteers work with and assist the fulltime teacher. You will help teach regular English classes and also tutor the children and help them with their homework.

Earn your TEFL/TESOL Certification
