Orphanage in Togo
Togo
Durations of Program: 1-2 weeks, 2-4 weeks, 5-8 weeks and 9-12 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Dates: All Year Round
Description:
Change the lives of these forgotten children in this challenging Togo volunteer project. The children rarely have opportunities to share in the love and caring you have to offer them. Offer your patience, too, as these children's lives on the streets have often alienated them from society.
Highlights:
Orphanage volunteers in Togo may have a variety of duties, depending on the needs of the orphanage as well as the skills and interests of the volunteers. Most orphanages strive to provide education opportunities to orphans; therefore, in most of the cases, volunteers in the Togo project teach basic English to the children. Volunteers also help develop creative programs such as art, music, dance, sports, etc. Additional help on day trips, sanitation, cooking, and administration might be requested. Whether you are feeding, teaching, or caring for their needs; or simply enjoy sharing your love with kids, a smile or a kind hug can offer something meaningful to the lives of these children.
