Description:
Mini-Venture in Tanzania provides a unique, inside experience on one of the most colorful countries of Africa . First, participants will work with local children teaching subjects which include conversational English and personal hygiene. Participants will also lead in creative activities such as art, games and other creative, extracurricular activities as well as possibly help the children with their homework assignments. Once participants have contributed to the lives of these needy children, they will embark on a 3-day journey exploring the delightful safari of Tanzania , covers two national parks providing an unparalleled game-viewing experience.
Highlights:
Day 0: Arrival at Dar es salaam International Airport ( Dar es Salaam ), transfer Global Crossroad's hostel Day 1: Next day, meet and greet Global Crossroad's local staff members; discussion and presentation of program's itinerary (especially details pertaining to traveling) general questions/answer session with Global Crossroad's in-country staff members (volunteers may inquire about their respective projects, room/food, travel arrangements, etc.), transfer to project location, introduction to project staff members/administrators, and begin working on said projects. Day 3-11: For 11 days, volunteers will work with local children. Tasks include teaching English and playing games with the children, as well as cleaning, washing, helping the children with homework, along with various extracurricular activities. Volunteers are greatly encouraged to continue to care for and teach these orphaned children, as well as serve as a shining a role model. During their free time, volunteers can explore the rich, prismatic landscapes of Dar Es Salaam. Day 12-14: Explore Tanzania
