Description:
HIV/AIDS has been the number one killing disease in the last decade - an epidemic even. Despite global concerns and endeavors, the deadly disease is still rampant, especially in the African. The conditions in Tanzania are further deteriorating in its battle against the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The HIV/AIDS Prevention and Counseling Project in Tanzania is an attempt to prevent the further transmission of HIV/AIDS with proper education, awareness and dissemination of information from every addressable angle. This project also targets those affected by providing moral support to them and helping them to build self-esteem and hope in life as well as the young children who are exposed to this life-stealing virus.
Highlights:
Volunteers in the HIV/AIDS program will devote their time taking care of HIV/AIDS infected children and people while getting them engaged in various educational activities designed to increase their awareness of the disease in hopes of their dissemination of the information to others in hopes of ultimately stopping and preventing the epidemic of HIV/AIDS in Tanzania. This project is open to any volunteers who are willing to share their love, time and compassion with the HIV/AIDS infected/affected patients.
