Description: Securing a safe future for the children has become an issue of great concern in Cambodia . There are more than 100,000 orphans and due to extreme poverty, many parents and families also opt to send their children into orphanages, and this trend is escalating the overall number of orphans in the country. Various NGOs are involved in setting up orphanage centres in Phnom Penh , the capital city as well as in other provinces to accommodate the ever growing number of orphans and give them a safe and secure haven

Highlights: As a volunteer in Cambodia , you can make a great difference in the life of these needy and destitute children who age between 1 - 18 years. You can help them to learn and improve their English and assist them with their homework. You can also teach them any sorts of extra curricular activities that you know and think might help in the development of a child. When you have some extra time, you can also help in the administration department of the orphanage. The orphanages in Cambodia needs loving, caring and enthusiast volunteers who do not need to have any specific qualification but you have one - that would be greatly appreciated.
