Description:
We offer volunteers placements in a local children's home in Patan (Lalitpur), Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. The orphanages are supporting over 300 children, ranging in age from infants to 17yrs old. Volunteers assist the local staff with the daily tasks of bathing, feeding and clothing the young children, helping the older children with school work, teaching basic English, arranging games and sports activities and helping with administrative tasks when needed. Volunteer work schedule is 40 hours per week, Mondays-Friday. Volunteers are welcome to help with administrative tasks, woman's support projects and other social programs offered through the children's community centers.

Cost Include Description:
Accommodation and meals on-site at the children's home. Airport transfers on arrival and departure in Katmandu. Our local Project Coordinator will provide an orientation tour of Kathmandu arrival, project briefing, an introduction to the children's home staff and children.
