Enhancement of Le Fort des Dunes in the North of France

Dates: July 7 - July 26

Description: The volunteer project is based in a fortress located in the North of France, 500 meters from the beach, and at 500 meters from the town of Dunkerque. With a technical leader, you will work on various parts of the site of the fortress. The planned activities consist in clearing of the outskirts, restoration of the external staircases, collecting of old paved stones and branches and clearing undergrowth off the ditches. This work will be carried out in small groups.

The project is based in the town of Leffrinckoucke, located at a few km from the town of Dunkerque. Buses are available to reach neighbour towns. The nearest train station is in Dunkerque, and many connections are available by TGV to Lille (35 min) or Paris (2 hours).
