Description:
Ganghwa Dolmen Sites in Ganghwa County is registered as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This volunteer project is one of the Patrimonito Workcamps which is a new initiative coordinated by CCIVS and World Heritage Center of UNESCO. This county is full of dynamic traditional heritage and culture. Together with the local people, the international volunteers will be involved in various activities promoting the values and importance of the World Heritage of Ganghwa. The volunteers will take part in various activities related to the promotion and preservation of the World Heritage in Ganghwa. Moreover, volunteers will organize a camp for a few days to raise the awareness of World Heritage among the local youth. During the free time, volunteers can visit the Korean traditional museums and cultural assets. There is also a beach nearby. The project site is located in Ganghwa-do, Incheon, 60 km west of Seoul.
Highlights:
The volunteers will visit historical places related with the Korean War and will have a small seminar about environmental issues in the world.
