Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Dates: July 13 - July 25

Description: Busan, a bustling city of approximately 3.7 million residents, is located on the southeastern tip of the Korean peninsula. The natural environment of Busan is a perfect example of harmony between mountains, rivers and sea. Its geography includes a coastline with superb beaches and scenic cliffs, mountains which provide excellent hiking and extraordinary views, and hot springs scattered throughout the city. Every year many tourists visit this well known city for vacations at the beautiful beaches and for a visit to the annual BIFF (Busan International Film Festival).

The aim of the international volunteer project in Busan is to organize an eco-village in the middle of Busan city. This movement will be the big step for the local society to find the way of living with nature in a cosmopolitan city.

Volunteers will be mainly involved in remodeling Mulmang village into an eco-village. And they will also participate in other environmental activities related to Oncheon Cheon (Korean name for hot spring stream) such as maintenance around the stream and supporting an eco-movie festival.
