Description: Succesful applicants will be assigned to teach small groups of students the correct usage of the language specified about 20 hours weekly. Free boarding in our female dormitory is provided. There are full kitchen, clean bathroom with hot shower, airconitioned bedroom, TV and internet access provided.

Highlights: On completion of a job assignment period, volunteers will be awarded a free package tour to cities in South China (charges for entry visa to China may apply).

Qualifications: Applicants should be college graduates at least, priority will be given to those who are university graduates or with TEFL certicates, references required.

Experience Required: no

Typical Volunteer: A typical volunteer is energetic, pleasant in manner and appearance, easy going along with others, caring and loving to teach and speak, leading students in activities and guide them to talk on various topics.

Age Range: 20-60

This Program is open to American, Australian, Canadian, European, Kiwi and South African Participants.

HK Youth Association's Mission Statement: Jointly operated with Concordia Education Centre and True Word Youth Centre, we offer various learning courses for the youth in Hong Kong, courses include practical language free talk (English, French & Japanese) for teenagers and adults, after school tuitions, martial art, cultural courses, etc. We invite young people whose mother tongue is either English, French or Japanese to apply for volunteering to teach in Hong Kong. They will gain the experience of living in close touch with local people, learning their culture, customs and habits, and can share their knowledge of their language and culture. We offer free boarding in our modern, air-conditioned and full facilities dormitory (at the moment for female only) and free package tours to cities in South China to successful applicants on completion of satisfactory job assignment. We are an organization with Christian background, we will give priority to those applicants who share the same faith.

HK Youth Association is a christian based organization. We do not require our participants to be of the same faith. Our volunteers will not be involved in religious proselytizing.
