Description:
As a volunteer coordinator at Casa do Caminho, you will have the following key responsibilities: * Recruiting and correspondence with new volunteers
* Development of new marketing strategies
* Education and integration of new volunteers
* Administration and coordination on site (update manuals, follow-up meetings, ensure a good communication flow between staff and volunteers) Besides your key responsibilities new projects are always welcome to be set up!
Highlights:
Working with Brazilian staff and volunteers around the world towards ideal goals in the middle of nature. It will be an intense period where you will have to be able to deal with the limitations of a third world country and an orphanage full with children that miss the basics in social and formal education. It is incredibly rewarding if you can make a difference to our program.
Qualifications:
* Advanced Portuguese skills
* Willing to work within 6 months - 2 years volunteer period
* Degree or experience in managing/coordinating or related subjects
* Experience in working with children and teenagers

Our program is free, you just need to pay for your own flights!
Salary / Pay: You receive food and accommodation and airport escort in exchange for your services.

Comunidade Rural Casa do Caminho's Mission Statement: Casa do Caminho is an orphanage situated in the middle of the Tingua rainforest, outside of Rio de Janeiro. Casa do Caminho aims to take the children away from aggression, drugs & criminality in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding suburbs. In the orphanage Casa do Caminho provides children with shelter, health care, education and a lot of freedom to play!
