Description:
We are looking for volunteers with a degree or experience in working with children and teenagers. You will work in daily shifts in conjunction with two other Educators. As an Educator at Casa do Caminho you will have the following key responsibilities: * Supervise bedtime and daily routines
* Supervise bath time
* Assist with getting the children ready for school
* Helping them with their after school homework, classes, etc.
* Organizing recreational activities
* Teaching them social skills
* Work with the Love & Logic Behavioral System
* Overall cleaning of the Casa

Qualifications:
* Willing to work within 6 months - 2 years volunteer period
* Intermediate level of Portuguese
* Previous experience working with children and teenagers

Salary / Pay: You receive food, accommodation and airport escort as a compensation for your services.

Comunidade Rural Casa do Caminho's Mission Statement: Casa do Caminho is an orphanage situated in the middle of the Tingua rainforest, outside of Rio de Janeiro. Casa do Caminho aims to take the children away from aggression, drugs & criminality in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding suburbs. In the orphanage Casa do Caminho provides children with shelter, health care, education and a lot of freedom to play!
