Description: Volunteering Solutions has volunteer programs in Colombo - the capital of Sri Lanka, Kaegalle & Galle about 100kms away from Colombo. We work with local communities in different programs, so volunteer can enjoy working with local people and know their culture and traditions. Volunteers will work in an orphanage assisting children with various activities including games, sports, teaching, hygiene & education. You will also assist the local staff with helping them in administration work where possible. You can get involved in art & craft and organizing short trips to local destinations with the children. Once you get involved you will not want to leave as the kids give so much love and affection to you.

Cost in US$: $850 for 2 weeks

Orientation: A day long orientation will be provided by our staff. We cover areas like, culture, greetings, locations, transportation etc. Each participant will be provided with a local Map of the city.

Lodging: Almost all placements have residential accommodation arrangements, however if that is not available volunteers will be staying with a local welcoming and educated family or in a guest house near by.

Food: 3 local meals will be provided in this project.

Insurance: All participants are covered for full comprehensive travel and medical insurance for their time of stay in our project. Please find details here.

In-country support: 24 hours support provided by our local staff.

Pre-departure information: After we receive full and final payment all participants are provided by a pre-departure information booklet by e-mail which will have all vital information about your program.
