Highlights: This village school is very much in need of native English speaking teachers. It is in a more rural setting just outside the core of Kathmandu. Most children are underprivileged and come from farming and small shop owner families and have little exposure to intermediate English. They are very appreciative of international volunteers that take the time to help out in their little school. Volunteers will teach English, interact and play with the children, read in the library as well as helping to teach other subjects such as Math or Science.

Qualifications: Volunteers should be fluent in English and have achieved at least a High School Diploma. Patience, creativity and initiative are important characterisitics to have in this placement. People who have a difficult time with public speaking or require constant direction may have difficulty as a volunteer here.
